Melissa Marr

Melissa Marr (born New York, 1971). Marr grew up in Westchester, NY.

Marr attended the Bennington College, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. She then attended the Columbia Business School,[1] Columbia University, New York and received a Master's of Business Administration in 2002. In 2008, she was presented the Twelfth Annual Distinguished Alumna Award by Columbia Women in Business.[2]

Ms. Marr is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Global Media Services/GridNetworks[3] a multimedia production and technology firm producing and distributing a full range of digital content across PC, Mobile, and TV platforms.

Prior to Global Media, Ms. Marr was President of The Healing Project in 2006.. The Healing Project is a 501 (c) tax-exempt organization dedicated to developing communities to support the chronically-ill. Marr is the creator of the social networking website, Voices Who Care.

Marr co-founded two film production companies: Blue Magic Pictures[4] and Elevation Filmworks. These companies distinguished themselves for cutting-edge downtown New York director-centric filmmaking.
